Tuition rate is based on room assignment, not age of the child.

The UC Merced Early Childhood Education Center offers child development services to families with young children six-weeks to five years of age. The program does not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, or mental or physical disability, in determining which children are served.
Priority is given to siblings of currently enrolled families. UC Merced affiliated families will have priority over community members. Waiting list application date will also prioritize families. The waitlist for enrollment is maintained by the ECEC. Your name will be placed on the waiting list upon submittal of the UC Merced ECEC Waiting List Application and payment of your application fees ($50 non-refundable). Your child will be on the waiting list and prioritized by date received. Please realize that children who are on the waiting list less time than your child may be admitted prior to you. We need to enroll children depending on the age of the child and the slot/classroom that is available.
Families who decide to use the center only during the academic year (off during the summer or other long breaks) will be returned to a waitlist status. Your child must not attend for a minimum of full 30-days to be eligible for this option. Families who received services previously will have the option to pay to hold the spot (full tuition), should another family wish to enroll.
