Rates for UC Merced Students
UC Merced student families have significantly discounted rates that have remained frozen since March 2020. A student discount from the Student ECEC Tuition Fee may be changed (with notice) depending on the number of student families enrolled. Please call or email for rates.

Infants (6 weeks - 17 months) - $1,952/month
Toddlers (18 - 35 months) - $1,598/month
Preschoolers (30 months - kindergarten) - $1,154/month
* Tuitions are scheduled to increase September 2025 for all except UC Merced Students. New rates will be posted before August 1, 2025.
Tuition rate is based on room assignment, not the child's age.
Part time enrollment may be available. Part time options: 3 full days, 2 full days, and AM (M-F) or PM (M-F) for infant room only.
The ECEC does accept ACCESS and other county Subsidy Funding Payments. The family is responsible for any amount that is not covered by the RMR payment and pays that amount directly to the ECEC on a monthly basis.
The UC Merced Early Childhood Education Center offers child development services to families with young children 6 weeks to 5 years old. The program does not discriminate on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, ancestry, national origin, religion, color, or mental or physical disability in determining which children are served.
Priority is given to siblings of currently enrolled families and UC Merced affiliated families. The waiting list application date prioritizes families upon submittal of the UC Merced ECEC Waiting List Application and payment of application fees ($50 nonrefundable). Community families are offered enrollment after exhausting the UC Merced affiliated waiting list.
